An Australian man(John Deaves, 61) and his adult daughter (Jenny, 39) went public about their relationship after having a 9 month old daughter,Celeste. They confessed on television -Nine television network's 60 Minutes programme- last night to spending seven years in a sexual relationship and conceiving two children.
They have been banned from having sex after a court convicted the pair on two counts of incest, placing them both on a three-year good behaviour bond.
"The couple are being monitored by the relevant authorities," a South Australia state police spokesman told Reuters on Monday.
John Deaves left the family home when his daughter was one-year-old and did not see her again for 30 years. When they were reunited, she had already married and had two children.
But within weeks, the couple had started a sexual relationship.
“We’re normal intellectual adults who have had careers, had a normal life like everybody else but fallen in love with each other when we are biologically related,” Ms Deaves told the Nine network.
“We are just asking for a little bit of respect and understanding.”
Although Celesta, their daughter is appeared to be healthy now but their first child died of a congenital disease within days of birth. Jenny, who has two children from a previous relationship, is now 39.
She said that soon after reuniting with John she saw him as a man first and her father second.
"I was looking at him, sort of going, oh, he's not too bad," she said. "Like you might look at a man across the bar at a nightclub."
John Deaves, who is 61, said he knew it was illegal to have sex with his child but emotions soon overcame him.“Emotions take over, as people no doubt realise, there are times during your life where emotions do rule the heart, it rules the head,” he said.
“I knew it was illegal, of course I knew it was illegal but you know, so what."
Jenny said the physical relationship with her father was like "a sexual relationship with any other man". Mr Deaves said it was "absolutely fantastic".
The South Australian couple, who bear a striking resemblance to each other, were both placed on three-year good behaviour bonds on March 20 after being convicted of two counts of incest each, a spokeswoman for the South Australian Courts Administration Authority said.

** What a shocking news to be heard, although yup, this is definitely far more "interesting/special" than the usual cases on news. After the man pregnant news, here comes another one. Maybe people are competing to be the weirdest or "most special".
Anyway, for me, man pregnant is much more acceptable than this kind of relationship.
One point though, a man who left his family and came back falling in love with her daughter???
and what the words"father" and "daughter" are used for? They just eventually came round to become couple and have a family..........*speechless
Overall, i think they shouldn't publicize it . Live a tranquil and simple life is always nice. It's hard to make everyone understands your situation ,so, save the effort tryin' to get consents/understanding from the society . Besides, the children will have a better lifestyle. Sometimes, be unknown is not really a bad thing .
I don't find them monstrous or disgusting. I think they're brave on one side.
Anyhow, all above is my own personal view xD , i guess everyone must be thinking sth too while reading this news.
End.
